About The Event
The delightful tradition of Sunday afternoon musicales continues with DAHA’s presentation of the tenth annual Spring Musicale. Featuring young talent as well as seasoned musicians, this year’s program opens with a movement from Dvořák’s engaging first piano trio, performed by Juilliard pre-college students. The African-American spiritual “Deep River” follows, in an arrangement by Jascha Heifetz, played by violinist Lilit Gampel. Quartet 131, in their DAHA debut, presents the Brahms masterwork, String Quartet in C minor, and, as a finale, the audience will hear an unusual intimate performance of Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings.
This event is organized by violinist Laura Jean Goldberg, artistic advisor, and DAHA Board Member.
